How to Tell if Your Partner Has Been Cheating

Chapter 1 -

Chapter 1 - How to Tell if Your Boyfriend

or Girlfriend Is Cheating on You*

Aside from the feelings we get when we first enter a relationship, once the “newness” wears off and the “honeymoon” is over, sometimes we wonder if our partner is cheating on us. Whether you’ve been cheated on before or not or if there are signs, maybe lipstick on his collar or she is getting texts in the middle of the night that she just “has” to reply to. Sometimes our instincts tell us that something isn’t right and we should further investigate our instincts.

Being cheated on is no fun. Especially if you are making future plans with this person and have invested a lot of time in getting to know each other. Even more so if you are living together and sharing a life together. When you find out your partner is cheating on you, it can be devastating!

Not everyone cheats, but as a growing trend of online dating sites and the internet being the number one form of communication these days, opportunities arise for many to cheat on their partners.

Sometimes when we suspect someone is cheating on us, we are wrong. Like perhaps when your partner is out late and says they are working. You might suspect that they are cheating on you, when in reality, they are actually working late. It’s when isolated instances like that make us wonder, but there is no real proof or that our suspicions are unfounded.

But, then there are times when we see signs that point towards infidelity. It’s those that come in numbers that we need to take attention to.

Before you confront you partner, here are some signals that you should be looking for and hen make your own assessment.

- If they have stopped talking to you and communicating with you, especially if they have been really good about it before. If they seem suddenly distant from you and or lacking intimacy with you? If so, they very may well be cheating on you because they are sharing with another person now.

- Remember before when you could come over to their house unannounced or *show up at their work for a surprise lunch visit? But, now when you do, they get angry and irritated with you. Chances are because the other woman or man is doing the same thing and they don't want you to run into each other. That could easily blow their cover!

- Look for any changes in their routine. Is there anything out of their normal everyday things they do? Like, for instance, are they working late at the office every night all of a sudden and have never done so before? Are they paying more attention to their cell phone texts when they are with you, but when you are not together, do they take forever to reply back to you?

- Are they secretive about their text messages or contacts on their cell phone, when once they didn't care if you would look through their phone at all? Have they added a password on their laptop or tablet when before you were able to access it with no problem at all? Wake up, they are hiding something and don't want you to see what it is that they are hiding from you. More than likely, photos or love notes to and from the person they are cheating on you with.

- If you feel that your partner is talking excessively about someone and how much they despise them and how unattractive they are, but seem to be still talking about them constantly, chances are that they are trying to throw you off the interest they have in them. They are trying to use reverse psychology on you.

- Look for mood changes around you. Do they tend to want to lean more into starting fights with you, whereas before they would avoid them all together? Do they seem only moody around you? When someone is cheating they will displace their own anger within themselves and guilty feelings onto their partner. They are harboring negative feelings and you will be the one they will aim towards, this will give them justification within themselves to cheat on you.

- When they come home, are the smell of cologne, if they are a girl or perfume if they are a male? Chances are it is the person's scent they have on them that they are cheating on you with. If you don't recognize that scent, then they have been very close to someone with that scent. - Are their political views changing? Their music tastes? Maybe they have taken up a new hobby that they once had told you that they despise. If a person suddenly starts spending time with a new person, often times they will adapt to their way of thinking and their tastes. Things they once despised will seem fabulous to them because they are trying to impress the other person.

- Remember when they would take calls right in front of you because it was their friends calling to confirm the plans for the weekend? Are they now suddenly leaving the room to take a call because they don't want you to hear their conversation? Perhaps the conversation is with the person they are cheating on you with and they don't want you to hear their sweet nothings to that person. And if you ask them who it was and they reply with, "It was no one." Then you should investigate. Since when does a "no one" require their undivided attention?

- When you go into their car or home and they have to "make sure things are clean" before you enter. This might be a good indication that they need to hide her earring she left behind in the car or that the condom by the side of the bed needs to be thrown away.

- Another good indication is if your partner lies to you. A good way to check on this is if you ask them where they were or went to lunch and who they were with. Ask them what they had for lunch and at what restaurant. A few days later, ask them about it again and be casual about it. If they lie about what they had and or where they went, then chances are that they can be lying to you about other things.

- Look at receipts or credit card bills if you can. If your partner is constantly going out and paying for two meals every time and you're not with them or if you notice your boyfriend bought a ring or necklace and saw the credit card bill or receipt for it and you have never seen the jewelry, because it was obviously not for you, then be on alert.

How to Survive When the Government Takes Your Kids

Chapter 1

This is not an easy book to write. This isn’t fiction, unfortunately, as much as I wish it was. Since I was a little girl, all I wanted in life was to be a wife and a mother. Growing up, my mom and dad had adopted me because my birth mother chose drugs and alcohol over raising a child. I was only five months old however when they adopted me, so I didn’t have any physical memory of this happening, which was good for me.

The scars it left on me though, were forever. Being shifted around as an infant leaves you clingy to people, I’m not a psychiatrist, but I’m assuming it’s because you are afraid that whoever you are close to are going to leave you, like you were left as a baby. Anyways, my parents were so over bearing, so protective, they didn’t let me grow up and learn things on my own.

I didn’t have my own job until I was seventeen, and that was only for the summer, and then right before I was eighteen, I decided I wanted to work as a telemarketer because I was moving out of the house on my eighteenth birthday, and there was nothing they could do to stop me. They both told me this was a bad idea, but of course, at the age of eighteen, what do they know, right?

So to make a long story even longer, eventually, six months after I moved out on my own, I had already met my birth mother, and realized that my parents were right in adopting me. In my particular case, I thank God daily that they adopted me, and I wasn’t left with that woman. My adopted parents and I no longer talk, because my adopted mom seemed to think that after the child turns eighteen, and is out on her own, she’s got her own life, and doesn’t need you at all anymore. She never got that motherly instinct that those of us that have our own children have. I love her, and I am not saying anything bad about her. God Bless her, she just recently found out that she has breast cancer. Luckily, she found it quickly, so they were able to take out the cancer, and give her radiation, and for now, she is in full remission.

My mother is the kind of person though, that my father, bless his heart, has worked the same job for over thirty years now to support her. In fact, two years ago he found out that he had brain cancer, and melanoma, and she was so concerned that he was going to take too much time off work, and they were going to go into debt. I’m definitely laying it all out on the line.

So, moving on, I was eighteen, and I found this guy, across the United States, thirteen hundred miles away, in Florida. He was twenty-six, and an older guy, who knew everything. This guy told me after about two weeks that I wasn’t his type, and for some reason, that sparked something inside of me, to try harder and harder to make him see that I could be a great wife, and make him settle down. Woman, girls, please, if you take one thing from this story, never try to make a man like you. If he says you’re not his type, move on, and find someone that is worth having. Do NOT and I repeat, DO NOT get pregnant, thinking that a baby will change him. Because it won’t.

I wouldn’t go back and change anything because my children are wonderful, but my story is painful. The year I turned 18, was 2001. I had my first beautiful boy in 2003. I thought up until the time that I had him, that I knew what love was. I’ll never forget them laying him on my stomach, as they cleaned him up. He was the most beautiful child I had ever seen in my entire life!!

He had my eyes, and my nose, in fact, he took totally after me. I named my son Zachariah, because I was listening to Christian radio and they were speaking about the book of Zechariah, and I just knew God wanted me to name him Zachariah. As soon as he was born, my life changed. His father had decided to marry me when I was six months pregnant because he said that he came around, and realized that I was the woman he wanted, and he wanted a family, and all of that jazz. He had us living from house to house. One day, when Zach was only 2 weeks old, I sat up from the couch I was sleeping on, and said, NO. I was working as the assistant manager of Dollar General.

His father? Oh, he didn’t work at this time. I just had a baby, and I was out there busting my butt. Every four hours, he would bring my son up there and give him to me for nursing. I loved the time we nursed. It was so bonding.

I took a break and went to go and visit my cousin when my son was one month old. I told her that I wanted to get out, and get my own place, and she agreed. Suddenly, as I was visiting, my son’s father shows up at her house, and asks to see our son. She handed him over, and he ran to the car, and said if I ever wanted to see him again, I’d get in the car immediately.

I wanted, the entire ride back, to run out and tell the gas station lady that I was being kidnapped, but I knew I’d lose my son. As soon as we got back to his uncle’s house, he accused me of cheating on him. I was stitched up to the point where my rectum and vagina were both stitched. So I told him that if I would have cheated on him, I would have been torn open. He took this as me saying he had a small penis, and this other guy had a big one. So to prove his point, he grabbed me, and he raped me on the bed. I had to turn my head, because my son was laying on the bed as this little one month old baby, and he was watching. When he was finished, I held my baby and cried.

The next day at work, I gathered my employees up and told them of my situation. My friend agreed that her boyfriend was going to take my now husband out on a “fake job” hunt, and give me the time that I needed to get out of there.

The night before I left, I looked around where I was living. This house had holes in the floor, rats, roaches, and disease. I didn’t lay my son anywhere but my chest while he slept. I knew I had to do something to better our future. My husband had been trying to get us our place, but every time I had a paycheck, I had to give it to whoever we were staying with. Every bit of food stamps had to go to pay the people we stayed with, because I got one bowl of soup a day, after work. I looked at my husband and I said:

“Would you move back up to Illinois with me?” This is where I was from. He said, no. I said, “What if I told you I was pregnant again?” He said, “hell no, I’ll make it work down here, why are you?” I just changed the subject, and went to sleep.

The next day, bright and early, they came and got him, and I had my chance, I took my paycheck, plus some extra money that my employees and his family gave me to help, and I left. I went on a greyhound, September/October time. When I got to Illinois, my mom was happy to see me. She ran right to me, and grabbed Zach right out of my hands. I was a little taken back that I didn’t get a hug or anything.

Well, she greeted us, but then asked where I was going to stay. She wouldn’t allow us to stay with her, and I didn’t want to burden my grandmother. So, I took my son. I walked the cold snowy streets of Freeport, Illinois, with my son wrapped up in my arms, and found the Salvation Army. They gave me a voucher for three nights at a hotel, to get myself together. I found a place for rent, and I called the woman up.

I’ll never forget it. I told her that I was a new mother, with a baby on its way. I told her I had no money to put down, but if I could have this roof over my head, the Salvation Army would pay the first month rent, and my husband would move up from Florida, and he’d find a job to pay the bills, I just needed help getting started. I knew she was going to hang up on me, but she didn’t!! She actually met me at the apartment and told me it was $240 a month, and she’d waive the first month rent, and deposit, if he would be the maintenance man for all of their properties, and help her husband on the farm they owned. I called him and he immediately said yes.

Our first week there was like a dream. The landlords had plenty of stuff that other tenants had left behind, so they gave it to us, and pretty soon, (within a month) we had a fully furnished apartment. Zach had everything he needed, I was able to stay home with him while my belly continued to grow, and he worked all day. I was happy… for a moment in time.

This is when the accusations and abuse started. Going back really quick, one time, when we were only together for a few months, he smacked me across my face when I was tickling him. Well, as soon as he did it, I ran out of my grandma’s house, where we were living, and he admitted to everyone, my grandparents, and my best friend, what he had done, and he cried and cried.

I thought to myself, this man can’t be that bad if he’s admitting it like this, and crying like he is. So I forgave him, and everyone understood why. Except my grandpa. He told us that we had to leave the house, and this man talked me into taking my grandparents car to go to Florida, and then dropping it off for them to get, or their insurance to pay for. The way he put it, it sounded like a good idea at the time. This was the worst mistake of my life. My grandfather died 2008, the year I ended up losing my kids (thank God he died Jan 1st, and I lost my kids February 14th, so he never knew)

So, because he had to work all day, and I was left at home, and this was my home town, where I was born and raised, he thought that I had men in and out of the apartment all day and night, and was constantly having sex. He had issues with sex, because of drugs that he had taken as a younger man, and self-conscious issues, so he blamed it on me.

One time, we got into a fight, and I wanted to leave with my best friend, and right as she was pulling up, he grabbed me and threw me on the bed, and choked me, making me foam at the mouth. He laughed when I came too, and said I looked so funny when I was foaming at the mouth. I’d leave, with my friend, and swear that I was going to never come back, but he would call, and ask to see the baby, and he’d promise that he’d never touch me again.

How to Start Your Own Business as a Narrator or Voice Over Actor

Chapter 1 – Introduction

Have you ever been told that you have a voice for acting? Being a voice actor or actress is very similar to being an actor, but there are some differences. When you are a voice actor, you act with your voice. Meaning, your emotions and fluctuations all are held within your voice as you speak and act your role or narrate a book.

The wonderful news of being a voice actor is that you can do it in your very own home! You can audition from home, record from home, edit from home and submit your recordings from home. Meaning, you can work in your pajamas and never have to leave the house to drive in traffic or go to a boring office! Those are just some of the rewards of voice acting.

So, how do you start your own voice acting business? Everything is almost the same as starting any business. If you haven't had voice training, you need to brush up on your vocal skills; breathing exercises, keeping your voice clear, voice fluctuation, knowing where to pause, etc... You can even take voice acting classes if needed or you can look on the internet and see what books you can order to help you with your voice acting.

Next, get some experience. This can be anywhere from reading a book out loud and recording it. Then listening back and critiquing yourself or have someone else listen and critique. If you have children, practice reading their favorite stories to them and bring the book to life with your voice and see how they react.

Once you are confident about your voice, then you research the business end of the voice acting industry. Remember, voice acing is extremely competitive business. If you want to get into animation and other areas of voice acting and voice overs, keep in mind that they are being sought out by well-known actors and voice actors in the industry and chances are that you may not find work at all. That’s the cold hard truth.

But don’t fret! Just start small. Start with audio book narration. Amazon has a site called ACX (Audiobook Creation Exchange) where thousands of books are available for audition. You can choose your fee or royalty, your genre, your language, etc... I will go into more later on in the book on how to get set up for voice over audiobook narration.

You will need to set up your own sound recording area and use recording software. But, don't worry, I will also go into that as well in a later chapter.

Setting up a sound recording studio is a whole lot easier these days than it was, say, ten or fifteen or even twenty years ago. With the computer age and many musicians out there setting up home studios, the recording software industry is very competitive and there are even free recording software out there on the internet that you can download and install on your computer or laptop with tutorials on how to use it! This keeps down to minimal costs for setting up your own home recording studio.

Keep in mind, when you are getting started in the voice acting industry, it is going to take a lot of patience, a lot of auditioning and a lot of competition, but if you keep at it and work hard every day, there is a high chance that you will succeed!

When I first got started in the voice acting industry, I had some experience on internet radio and animation voice acting. And even for me, I had to put out at least twenty auditions before I even received a "call back" to do an audio book. If you have no experience, you should practice a lot.

Audition for as many books as you possibly can, the more auditions you get out there, the higher chance of someone picking you to read their book. Voice actors don't just get "discovered", you have to work hard at it. Practicing, auditioning, recording, editing, it's all in a day's work but the rewards are endless, especially when you have your first book recorded!

Also, if you haven't yet, sign up with a social networking site and look for people in the industry who are doing well and see if they offer any tips or techniques. As for getting an agent, you really don't need one to get started in the narration business of audio books. Perhaps, you may need an agent when it comes to voice over animation acting, which is a much more competitive area.

In the upcoming chapters of this book, I will go over; getting started and setting up your home studio, recording demos, finding work, auditioning, recording, editing and submitting your work.

Chapter 2 – Setting Up

Your Home Studio

In this chapter I will be going over on how to get started and how to set up your own home recording studio. You don't need a set up like the big name professional recording studios you are probably thinking about who record albums. Your set up will* be small and easy to do.

Before you begin to set up your studio, you will need a space to set up your studio. Whether it's a spare bedroom, a space in your bedroom, somewhere where it is quiet and there is no echo in the room when you speak. The bathroom is a terrible place to set up your recording space. You want to make sure that there is no background noise. For example, refrigerator humming, fans, toilet bowl running, heater, air conditioner, etc... You want it as quiet as possible.

Places you can set up your recording area; corner of a room, a closet, living room, somewhere where there is a lot of things present to absorb the sound in the room. The best space will have 40% of soft sound absorbent things covering the walls of space. This includes the floors, so carpeted floors works the best. You can always find sound proofing foam for the walls, it’s cheaper if it’s used. Newer ones are usually expensive.

You can also use blankets hung on the walls. This absorbs the noise bouncing off the walls. You also can use a canopy over your head to absorb the noise bouncing off the ceiling as well. Once you set your space up, later on you can test the sound in the room for noise.

Next thing you will need is a computer or laptop with a good internet connection speed. Dial-up will take too long when you are uploading auditions or finished submissions. If you don't have a computer or laptop, you can buy them really cheap these days from anywhere. A PC or Mac works either way.

How to Look for a Job after Completing College

Chapter 1 – When to Start Looking?

When should you start looking for a job? Some may think it’s while you are a senior in college. Some think it should be before that. It is wise to look at the job market in the field you wish to get your degree in to make sure it is a smart decision on your part. For example, if you want to get your degree in Archeology and there isn’t that much of a job market for an Archeologist, then maybe you should change your major.

Look and see what qualifications are required for the career you want to study for. That way when you do graduate you are all set to send out your resume or fill out those job applications.

When you are a senior you are going to be busy with finishing college, taking finals, writing reports, etc… By then, you should already have an idea of where to apply for a job.

Your senior year will be very stressful and exciting. All that hard work and studying will finally pay off after graduation. That is, if you play your cards right. You need to start thinking about life after college as soon as possible. That way, you will get a jump start on the career of your choice!

Searching For a Job

Begin searching for a job before entering your senior year of college. You don’t need to start putting job applications in just yet though. Job searching for now will suffice. You want to get an idea of what is out there and what to expect when you are ready to start applying. This will also give you time to study and research on the companies that are out there in the field you are preparing for while in college.

This will also give you an idea of what requirements are needed from you in order to obtain the position you desire. You can do your research on the internet, newspaper want ads and even by word of mouth. You can also schedule a tour of the company if you want to really get into your research. Sometimes college libraries have research materials and information on companies who hire. This is more geared towards colleges that specialize in certain fields. Also, look into the career center at your college, if they have one.

Your Cover Letter and Resume

It’s time to polish up that cover letter and update your resume. Always include essential information that pertains to the field you want to get into. Include your skills, work experience, activities, schooling, your personal accomplishments and any memberships of associations that will impress a potential employer. If you’re not sure how to deliver a resume and cover letter that stands out, research on the internet for tips and ideas or stop by your college career center and have it looked at. That is what they are there for.

Your References

When filling out a job application you are almost always asked for business references. Be prepared for this. You are usually required to have at least three of these. This is where you being to choose the people that would most likely give you a glowing reference.

If at all possible, try to choose those in your field of work, whether it’s a professor from your college, your boss at an internship you worked at, etc… You want them to speak highly of your work and give you great references. Some mistakes novices make is in choosing friends and family as their references.

Always make sure your references are either individuals who appreciate your skill set or professionals in your field, mentors, etc…

Applying for a Job

Don’t apply for a job if the start date is before you graduate. Make sure that the start date is after graduation. You don’t want the pressure of starting a new job and studying and taking your finals and writing any reports or essays while still in college. Finals week is stressful enough without having the stress added to starting a new job.

Check and see if your college hosts a job fair. This is a good way to get in touch with an assortment of companies in one place and to save you some footwork. Always bring enough copies of your resume to hand out to potential employers. Attending a job fair is a wonderful way to apply for jobs and meet the hiring personnel from many companies in one place. Sometimes, you may even get an interview right on the spot.

Graduated and Jobless

So, what if you can’t find a job after graduation? There is a chance that might happen. But, don’t panic. Try considering taking an internship at a company you would like to work for. This could lead to a job in that company. There are a lot of paid internships in larger companies.

You can also contact a staffing agency or temporary agency and they can place in you a company in your field temporarily which can possibly lead to permanent employment.

Chapter 2 – How to Successfully Complete a Job Application

Now that you have successfully graduated from college, it is time to get out in that job market and do some job hunting. But, what if you have never hunted for a job before? This is all so new to you and possibly overwhelming!

In this chapter, I will guide you through how to successfully fill out a job application. Always remember that filling out a job application shouldn’t be stressful. Look at it as a rewarding experience. If you already have a resume filled out and you show up at a job and they want you to fill out an application, keep in mind some employers prefer job applications filled out over resumes because many times they want you to sign a paper for a background check, etc. If you don't have a resume, now is the time to create one.

If you are going into part-time work, entry level work, blue collar work, these are times when a potential employer uses a job application to pre-screen their potential employees.

The potential employer will use the information on the application to determine if they want to call the potential employee in for an interview or a pre-interview, like a phone interview.

For some companies, a job application is paperwork that the Human Resources department requires to have on file.

Where to Send Your Child: Private, Public or Home School? Volume 2

Step 1. Taking into Consideration your Family’s and Child’s Needs

Your search should begin by deciding what you want a school to do for your child's needs. Ask yourself questions like:

- Is a structured environment or a less structured environment better for your child?

- Is more challenging work needed for your child?

- Is more individual attention needed for your child?

- Is more time and help needed for your child to complete homework or schoolwork?

- Is there any special learning needs for your child?

- Is a creative environment better for your child?

- Is English your child's first language or will your child need help with English as a second language?

- Is seeing how things work, a better learning environment for your child?

- Is reading how things work, a better learning environment for your child?

- Is listening how things work, a better learning environment for your child?

- Is participation discussion something your child enjoys?

- Is physical activity something your child likes to learn in?

- Does your child fall into the logical or mathematical category?

- Does your child fall into the musical or artistic category?

- Is a group environment something your child likes to learn in?

- Is working alone a better way for your child to learn in?

- Is a school located near you, like walking distance, important to you?

- Is it possible that being outside your neighborhood can nurture your child's talents?

- Are you comfortable with letting your child ride the bus to school and if so, how far?

- Does distance matter when it comes to driving your child to school and if does, how far are you willing to go?

- Are having your son or daughter's friends at school important to you?

- Is after school child care important to you and if so, does it need to be near the school or where you work?

- When choosing a school, are your child's transportation needs on a special needs basis?

Once you have answered all of the previous questions, move onto Step 2. Get all your information together about potential schools.

Step 2. Get All Your Information Together About Potential Schools.

When you are buying a new house, or looking for a place to live, or buying a new car, stove, fridge, etc... Often times you will ask a friend or family member or do research yourself on the internet.

You can do the same thing with schools. Ask around and make phone calls, find out where your neighbors are sending their children to school; to find the information you need in helping you make the right decision.

Now a days, every school has a website on the internet, so you can see what that school has to offer; their policies, their philosophy, their curriculum and any other services they have to offer. If you want your child in a sports program, you can also find out what sports programs your child can join or what types of after school clubs are available.

Some questions to ask when looking for a new school are:

- Is there a strong curriculum of core academia such as science, math, history, English, foreign languages or arts? You can read the rest of this story from any of the major book sellers, or also at http://www.vincestead.com or http://www.fun2readbooks.com You can also listen to it in Audio.

Where to Send Your Child: Private, Public or Home School? Volume 1

Introduction

As a parent you wonder how you will pick the best school for your child to attend?

You have three choices as a parent; public, private or home schooling. Even if you are paying tuition for a school, the deciding factors are always important.

In Volume 1, I will go over the three types of schools, public, private and home school. I will break them down into sub-categories and explain each one to you and then go over the pros and cons of each type of school. Hopefully this information will help you in deciding what type of school you want to send your child to.

In Volume 2, I will go over the Four Steps in helping you decide what school is best for your child by listing the questions you should be asking and the factors that go into making that decision.

If you're determined to have someone else teach your child, then the age long debate of private school or public school will cross your mind on more than one occasion. So many factors come into play when making this decision. One of them being finances. That is, your financial situation. Then of course deciding on what is best for your child.

Some wonder how can we possibly compare two things that are so different? It’s like comparing night and day or oranges and apples. How can we compare two different things that are so obviously not held to the same standards?

I went to private Catholic school for my years of education up until the ninth grade. My first eight years were a co-ed private Catholic school, then I attended an all-girls private Catholic school, then I went on to a public co-ed high school. I've seen the differences in the amount of education that is emphasized. When it comes down to it, you get what you pay for.

It’s like buying a more expensive car. It looks better, runs better and is sharper and probably has more whistles and bells on it. But, if you go the economical way and buy a car that is not so expensive, it will still get you places where you want to go.

Well, it all depends on how you go about doing it though. There are many public schools out there that offer the same kind of education that a private school would. Take into consideration the schools that offer honors courses or advanced placement courses. A lot of public high schools offer college prep courses. It depends on how serious you and your child will be taking their education and not just “go through the system” to get it over and done with. This is your child’s future you are talking about and it should mean the world to you.

My son is in the 4th grade at a public elementary school. He is Autistic, so he is in the category of a special needs kid. Even though it is a public school they have a great special needs education for him. His class is small about 9 – 10 kids and his teacher is very hands on and cares about her students. He has had her for several years and the teachers before her were just as amazing. I am on a daily contact basis with her in my son’s progress.

Not only do I keep in contact with her on a daily basis, either through e-mail, notes in his book bag, telephone conversations or texting on my cell phone. But, I also have his IEP’s (Independent Education Program) that we have.

What is an IEP?

Every child who attends public school and is in the special education program for special needs, must have an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Every IEP must be designed individually for that special needs student. It is a document that creates the opportunity for parents, teachers, related services personnel, school administrators, and the student to all work together to improve the educational results for a child with disabilities. Every IEP is the cornerstone of a quality education for every disabled child.

The general steps in determining the special education process is:

- The child is identified by either the teacher or parent as needing a special education and other related services.

- The child is then evaluated.

- The child's eligibility is then decided.

- The child is then eligible for services.

- The IEP meeting is then scheduled.

- The IEP meeting is then held and the document is written out with goals for the child. The teacher and parent work together on setting the goals and reaching them. Each teacher and parent get a copy and any other related service workers involved.

- All services are then provided for the child.

- The child's progress is then measured and reported to the parents.

- IEP is then again reviewed at the end of the year and the child is then re-evaluated to determine if goals were met and to set new goals.

Most parents have toured both kinds of schools at one time or another, or like myself, had attended both. Most people have a bias opinion because of their experience or experiences, good or bad, with either public school or private school.

The common theory of many is that private schools offer superiority in everything, therefore justifying the high tuition costs.

Then there is the argument that public schools provide more experiences in real-life or in other cases, they have advanced development in specialty programs in the science or athletics departments.

After attending both types of schools, I can see where the argument is. I was into sports a lot, even though the private school I had attended had a small sports program, there were still available sports for us girls. Soccer and volleyball were it. The boys had soccer and football.

Fun Guide to Online Dating

Chapter 1: Online Dating

There once was a time when a bar or nightclub was the place to be to pick up a guy or girl for dating. But, ever since the Internet has hit, online dating sites are becoming more and more “the place” to be for meeting others. Over time different dating fads have come into play such as newspaper and magazine personal ads, television dating shows, speed dating, video dating, etc…. Now there is online dating, which combines all the factors of the aforementioned and brings potential partners to you in the touch of a fingertip!

Since the inception of the Internet, which happens to be the human race’s favorite mode of communication these days. Everyone has an e-mail, instant messenger and is a member of one or more social networking sites. All communication is at the tip of our fingertips in an instant. We are n a world where we want things done ASAP. The youth of today have no idea how it was back in the seventies and eighties, and before that, before the existence of the Internet and the computer age. We used to have to physically write a letter and drop it in a blue mailbox that sat on the corner in our neighborhood, or even, pick up a telephone and call someone, instead of text messaging or electronically e-mailing them.

Even though, personally, I didn’t meet my significant other through online dating, I did meet him on a social network. He had been on my friend’s list for over a year and we casually made comments to each other. At one time we had both been in relationships at the same time. We did have a lot of mutual friends and one day, we just chatted on instant messenger on the social networking site and everything else fell into place. He lived two hours from me, so it was long distance for awhile, but we made it work. And with the information and tips I am going to share with you, you too can find happiness through world wide web.

Given the many options available to you in online dating sites, you should have no problem finding a generic one or even one that caters to your lifestyle. Whether it is music, sexual orientation or hobby driven, there is an abundance of online dating sites out there that will help you find your perfect mate and partner in life, just by filling out a profile and putting up at least one photo of yourself. When you are done doing that, then you are free to browse the many potential partners available to you. Most online dating sites have a filter where you can choose the specifications of what you are looking for in someone and physical appearance traits.

Some sites are free and some charge on a monthly basis. There are some online dating sites that will give you a discount if you sign up for a year and there are some that will give you a free trial to test out the site. You just have to do some research to find the right site or sites for you to participate on.

I know that there are some of you who are skeptical about the whole online dating concept and even for those of you who are beginners, there might be some sort of fear in meeting a complete stranger online and even someone perhaps in a different country or state.

For the record, I am all for online dating and social networks who offer dating areas for its members. Why? Well, it increases your chances of meeting the perfect someone and believe it or not, it is safer to meet someone from your computer than go and hang out at a bar or club. Online dating site vs. bars and clubs.

When you are planning to go out to a bar or club you first need to shower and get ready. If you’re a female, this entails, hair, make-up and the right dress that will knock a potential partner off his feet. If you’re a guy, you are probably practicing your pick-up lines that usually never work anyway. Once you have decided what to wear, you leave your home either alone or with friends.

Once you arrive at the bar or club, if it’s a busy one, you have to make your way through a sea of people just to get a table or a seat at the bar to order a drink. I am not sure when it happened, but drinks at bars and clubs seem to have skyrocketed in price. Since when did an alcoholic beverage in a small glass become ten bucks? Then you have to tip the bartender. That is, if you can even get his attention to make you a drink.

Once you have your drink, depending on whether you are alone or not, you find a seat. Say you are with friends and if you get a table, you then usually have a smoke filled room because somewhere in the seventies, club owners thought it was fun and entertaining to have a fog machine to impair people’s vision while they are trying to scope people out. Combine the darkness, the sea of people, the noise level and the fog machine and eventual alcohol vision impairment and at this point, anyone is beginning to look good to take home. Good right? No! Who knows what leech or tentacle will be getting their hands on you. There are so many factors that could put you in danger with this concept. You can be drugged or even worse!

Now, imagine sitting at home on a Friday night, listening to your favorite CD, sipping your favorite beverage in the privacy and comfort of your own home. No one to bother you, no smoke filled noisy room. You find an online dating site that fits your lifestyle or music taste. You signup, get a free week trial and set up your profile, including a knockout photo of yourself that is sure to attract any red blooded human. An hour later, you are all set up and look! Several people have noticed you and have sent you a message! You spend the next few hours chatting with several other members of the dating site and find that you have things in common with all of them. Now, you have choices without ever having had to leave your home!
